Welcome to year one

Welcome back to Pennington and welcome to Year One.
We hope you all had a fantastic Summer holiday and enjoyed yourselves.

The Autumn Term Ahead Year One 2012

We would like you to share the areas of learning your child will be covering during this coming term.  We hope that this will support the educational partnership between parent, child and teacher.

Read stories with predictable and patterned language, stories with familiar settings, poetry and non-fiction texts.

• Sound and blend letters to read words

• Recognise and use full stops and capital letters when reading and writing

• Learn all addition and subtraction number bonds within and including 5 by heart
